Admissions

Year-round enrollment.
Individualized, mastery-based education.

Although most Oak Crest Private School students start at the beginning of the school year, the individualized nature of our curriculum allows enrollment for qualified students throughout the year, space permitting. Tuition for the school year is prorated for families that enroll after the start of the school year.

How to Apply

The admissions process has four steps:

Step 1 – A Personal Tour

The first step in the admissions process is to schedule a visit of the school. This is most easily done by calling the school at 214-483-5400 or by filling in a request for more information form. The school tour will give you a chance to learn more about our mastery-based, hands-on educational approach and to observe for yourself how this works. You will get to see our friendly, small classes in action. Since this is a one-on-one meeting, it will be an opportunity to get any questions that you might have answered.

At the end of the tour, interested parents can submit an application form. For children in second grade and above, a student’s report card for the previous year also needs to be provided.

Step 2 – A Visiting Day

The next step is to schedule a visiting day. For preschool-age children that have never been away from home before, this can be as short as an 8:30 to 11:30 AM visit. For school-age children, this would need to be for an entire school day. During this day, the student will have the opportunity to participate in class, meet the teacher and make friends. The school will have the chance to see where the student would be placed in reading, writing and math.

At the end of the day, parents will get the assessment results along with the recommended placement for their child.

Step 3 – Admission

Once the application form, school records and visiting day evaluations have been reviewed, parents and students will be notified if the student has been accepted.

Step 4 – Enrollment

Enrollment is completed when the school has received all required paperwork including vaccination records and the parents have paid the enrollment fee and the tuition deposit for the last month of the school year.
